Who are the Friends?
Concord Friends are a group of people from all walks of life, backgrounds and age groups. We are library supporters who strengthen community ties by sharing a passion for local books and learning. We share a common goal: lending active support to our library's services and programming by assisting with programs and events, and sponsoring special programs for children, teens and adults.

What do the Friends do?
The Friends believe public libraries are essential to our society. Public libraries are part of the bedrock that supports American communities. The library informs and educates, it encourages the exploration and discussion of ideas, and it brings together people from all walks of life.
Learning doesn't end with a formal education, which is why Friends offer a wide range of quality adult programs at the Concord Public Library. These programs include author readings, lectures, and musical performances.
Children love libraries, which is why Friends supports programs that help children develop a love of learning and discovery. These programs include the Teddy Bear Tea, storytellers, magicians and the Summer Reading Program.
